Lin, the Heir of Longwang is a nephillim who serves as one of the newer recruits to the Devil Hunters. He serves as the protagonist of ULTIMATE, coming from a broken family that he’s struggling to piece back together. All while constantly on the run from members of the Revolt Tyrants that are actively pursuing him.
– Personality –
Lin has a fairly double-sided mindset, balancing smugness and self-consciousness. He enjoys finding joy in the little things that lead to bigger results, being unafraid to flaunt his playful attitude. Enjoying the rise he gets out of people through masking his wit with a facade of nonchalance to keep others in check. This allows him to use charm and humor to let down the guard of his enemies before he reveals a more serious edge. Lin acutely aware of his own limitations, such as how he doesn't properly understand what it's like to live life, and sees it as a challenge. Yet instead of focusing on what he lacks, Lin prefers to utilize his street smarts and flexibility. Which often leads him into living his life impulsively by trusting his feelings first and always trying to chase after things that are bigger than him in the most effective way as possible. He doesn't just appreciate aesthetical beauty in situations, he sees hidden patterns and vulnerabilities in others to read them well.
While he's a natural showman, Lin's flamboyance is a mere mask to protect himself from his internal fears of dying without any purpose in his life. He's deeply afraid of letting down those he considers family, a shadow cast by his father's way of raising him. Lin used to be involved in a gang lifestyle through the Patriarch, who was like a second father to him. He would get into fights with clan members as if it were nothing, thriving in the world's chaos. The loss of Patriarch was a defining moment to him, as he became motivated with a strong desire of protecting others due to how he feels responsible for the deaths of anyone close to him. He has a strong bond with his sister Yu Mei, even though they are not very close. He also feels a sense of rivalry with Yu Mei, as they both aspire to be like their father. He wonders who has the right to claim that title, and who has the power to make a difference in the legacy of his family. He feels lost and confused when he doesn’t know where his father is during the time of his village being attacked, and he sees his mother’s eyes fade away. This causes him to keep others at distance when it comes to emotional attachments, as he fears always losing people.
Lin struggles intensely with the idea of destiny. He views destiny as a malleable force that's not meant to be defied, but rather redefined by building upon past legacies to make something greater. Seeing the smaller aspects of life as building blocks towards a future of larger size by choosing to often gamble with his choices in order to maintain control over his life. At his core, Lin seeks to leave a mark on the world and redefine the core values that his family always taught him. Those being loyalty, honor, and integrity that he desires to fully live with to the end. In this world, he embraces what's around him as opportunities for creativity and self-expression.
– Relationships – (TBA)
– History – Past –
Lin and his sister Yu Mei were born as a pair of Nephillim hybrids destined to be the inheritor of their family’s legacy, serving as descendants of generational cross-breeding. Lin’s father, Longwang would always attempt to persuade him into this direction through stories of the man who carried their Espada relic, the Autochronos and how he encountered him when he was little. His mother was in contact with angelic beings that were part of the Lux Order’s hierarchy as a result of a forbidden pact between humans and angels that led to abominable results. After those results, Lin’s mother was amongst many that were guided to simply slay demonic beings after she conducted the mana of angelic beings from her birth. She wasn’t very well treated by Longwang, who was often dismissive if she got in the way of how he was raising their child. Thus she interacted more with his brother, Levita. Who was more vocal about how he felt with the methods of Longwang.
Levita had always resented Longwang for allowing Lin to reject his inherited role in life, believing Lin should choose the fate he's meant for. Levita secretly contacted those from above, and offered them a deal involving their plan of great re-enlightenment. He would help them infiltrate and destroy his brother’s village, in exchange for a safe place for him and Lin’s mother. He hoped that by doing this, he could save Lin from his father’s influence and give him a chance to choose his own destiny. He did not care about the consequences of betraying his own kind, as he saw them as corrupted and doomed by their demonic heritage. He waited for the right moment to strike, when his brother was away on a mission and Lin was left alone in the village. He led a group of blessed agents to the village gate, pretending to be a friendly visitor. He then signaled them to attack, unleashing a massacre on the unsuspecting villagers. Lin was abruptly awoken from his sleep by his mother, who urgently attempted to escort him away from the village for his safety. While a fight breaks out from the back, eventually going to the extreme which causes debris to fall over Lin’s mother. Lin’s confidence sank when he tried to help his mother to get back on her feet. Until he was told by her to simply run away and never look back before she is eventually caught in a devastating blast that pushes Lin away while he runs with tears across his eyes.
After witnessing his father’s village being destroyed, Lin was filled with rage and confusion. He had always been taught to fight against demonic beings, but now it seemed like the angelic beings were just as monstrous. With nowhere else to turn, Lin sought refuge with a group of orphans who had banded together for the sake of survival. They were led by a man known as Patriarch, who had taken in the children and trained them to become skilled thieves and con artists. Lin quickly proved himself to be a valuable member of the group, using his cursed blood to enhance his abilities and his cunning mind to come up with elaborate plans. However, he couldn’t shake off his past and the guilt of not being able to protect his village. This guilt manifested in his constant desire for revenge.
Patriarch saw potential in Lin and decided to train him further in combat, teaching him how to wield weapons and hone his demon powers to their fullest potential. Through his training, Lin discovered that his hybrid abilities. He vowed to use this power to take down the Lux Order and avenge his fallen village. As he grew older, Lin became more and more involved with the criminal underworld, rising through the ranks within Patriarch’s gang. He also began to learn more about the world of demon hunters and their struggle against otherworldly mutants. He saw this as an opportunity to fulfill his desire for revenge and work towards a greater cause.
But as he delved deeper into the world of Devil Hunters, he found himself torn between his loyalty to Patriarch and his newfound loyalty to his fellow hunters. He constantly struggled with his heritage. It was a constant battle within himself, but Lin knew that he had to find a way to control it if he wanted to succeed in his mission. But yet, during the events of World War X. Lin slipped into a dimensional crack of a leyline and was converged toward a “parallel time” Inhabited with life that had similar genetic structure to him yet completely different anatomy that seemed impure. Living on the anchor point known as Itea Eroemil, where Lin finds the crusader that will rid the world of it’s illness.
– “Neo-Gen” and Abilities (TBA Rework) –
As a Nephilim, Lin embodies a unique fusion of angelic and demonic energies, harmonizing two opposing forces through his mastery over molecular kinetics and bio-energy manipulation. His molecular aura allows him to shift the movement of molecules in his surroundings and within his body, inducing minor mutations and energy transference. Lin's abilities are further enhanced by his connection to ambient leyline energy, which fuels his bio-energy akin to chi. His body has vital points, each linked to either his angelic or demonic half. This ability manifests in two primary forms:
-
Angelic Augmentation (Induced Combustion): Lin siphons and refines bio-energy from his surroundings, converting it into psionic and telekinetic manipulation to control kinetic force and molecular acceleration. This heightens his speed, enhances molecular conductivity, and energizes his body with focused power. His energy control enables rapid molecular movement, enabling lightning-fast strikes and refined elemental attacks.
-
Demonic Expansion: Lin amplifies his energy outward to alter his physical structure and energy transference, enhancing supernatural mutations, molecular expansion, and energy-based constructs. His demonic energy mutates his molecular field, allowing him to create constructs, fuel his attacks with chain reactions, and project an illusory field that refracts and expels energy. This raw output enhances his physical attributes and grants supernatural mutations, but excessive use risks overloading his body, leading to radiation exposure and loss of control.
– Gameplay and Moveset Plan –
- Lin is a balanced hybrid-style character that excels at combo versatility and Flow Chain management. He relies on two Stances, Angel and Demon. Lin's Angel and Demon Sides use a synergy effect when combo-switching with them.
- Angel Yang Stance focuses on speed and maneuverability with light combo chains using fast recovery to juggle enemies. Enabling attack cancels and builds up a Demon Charge on Hype-fryer, allowing to cancel Demon attacks into each other via a defensive rev. Combos generate feather projectiles that hover around Lin for delayed commands.
- Demon Yin Stance focuses on heavy, guard-crushing attacks that are slower and deal single-target or AoE damage. Demon attacks create openings for Angel follow-ups that add up critical damage and charges up Hype-fryer.
- The downside of Lin’s playstyle is that he cannot properly combo or gain energy with one singular weapon, emphasizing on using multiple weapons at once for effectiveness.

Liberty: Lin’s primary weapon, a gas-powered sword with gear sets of plutonium/nitrogen-coated teeth attached to a rotating chain along a guide bar. Vibrating at high frequencies that create an intense heat from the blade to cut through enemies and ignite the surrounding air. Liberty is a well-rounded weapon that suits Lin’s style, utilizing a special gauge that activates Hype-fryer. Hype-fryer boosts the elemental damage of Lin’s slashes during charges or timing it's revving saw for quicker start-up and grants him extra follow-up attacks that are essential for Liberty’s combos and multiplies points that Lin gains on the Flow Chain for lengthy combos. Having different buffs based on Flow Chain rank such as increased attack speed and range, extended attack / combo duration, critical damage hitting multiple enemies to gain Climax quicker, creating chain reactions via elemental damage, and charging Ascension Finishers / Spell Cards / Ultimate Attack. The longer Lin uses Hype-fryer without getting hit, the more powerful his attacks become.
Hype-fryer Levels:
- Warm Buzz: Faster start-up moves with quick follow-ups, leaving flaming trails after each attack. Hitting these flame trails with charged attacks or Full Power causes it to ignite, spreading across the area and increasing range. Can instantly chain into a different attack on precise timing.
- Precise Rev: Gains super armor and allows for longer attack duration with heavy singular hits or multiple attacks in a row, gaining more Climax when timed before an attack connects. The longer Lin maintains his combo after a Precise Rev without breaking his Flow Chain, Liberty gains extensive damage. Recoil damage on dodges and parries will enable a quick Chain boost.
- Full Power: Hits multiple enemies at once with massive AoE damage that bypass defenses and interrupts enemies. Is able to do multiple follow-up attacks and charged hits.
- Hype Phase: A charged follow-up attack after gaining a Hype-fryer Level during an attack, activating a special debuff on enemies. Warming Buzz causes a fast rapid-hitting attack that leaves trails, Precision Rev causes a ranged attack, and Full Power causes an explosive hit knocking away nearby enemies. Each follow-up is chargeable, making Liberty's saws ignite at full heat.
- Full Hype-fryer Gauge allows Lin to install special attacks mid-combo with rev-timing, causing steam to vent as an attack connects to add up critical damage.
With angelic weapons, Hype-fryer boosts stun and speed during combos while demonic weapons have boosted knockback and damage that builds up during held attacks by creating shockwaves. It can also infuse Liberty with elemental properties of whatever angel and demon weapons are selected (Uriel causes lightning damage to chain across multiple enemies, Feng Teng uses guard-breaking stun, Shin Guandao increases range with defensive crystals after attack cooldown, and Luan Dou The only drawback is that the chainsaw takes some time to rev up. Lin can use Liberty to slash enemies in the air or on the ground, and perform different moves to launch, smash or pierce them.
- Searing Hacker, Flashpoint, and Sundering Echelon Combos: Performs a basic 4-slash combo, ending with Lin kicking away the enemy. Holding during the first 2 hits causes his saw to reach outward with a saw causing heavy damage as he throws out multiple burning saws before doing a rapid Hype-fryer slash. Holding during the end uses a special combo attack that changes based on Angel and Demon usage.
- Rain-dispenser and Thermite Ravage Combos: When in mid-air, Lin has 3 revving slash attacks that increase in knockback when held for consistent multi-hits but less damage. Upon briefly, pausing Lin does a rolling slash that
- Hard Load: Slashing downward from mid-air causes a mid-ranged shockwave, slashing 3 times with heavy hits before doing a chargeable throw that sends Liberty's saws hurling towards enemies and causing a shockwave. Holding it makes the saw return to him to sweep enemies in, turning into a swirl of flames when using Hype-fryer.
- Carnage Grinder: Upon landing from mid-air, Lin does a flipping slam with wide reach.
- Molten Tear: Upon dodging, Lin performs a rapid flurry of saw cuts that increase in speed before ending with an overhead strike, gaining Quick Buzz. Lin can move his saw in any direction for mid-ranged mobility while swinging, deflecting enemies away.
- Hydraulic Bell: Heavy attacks cause a special Hype-fryer effect, stunning enemies with extra damage based on the impact. Charging these attacks ring the enemy's body with an explosive shockwave, scaling based on how much stun Lin his accumulated on them.
- Vacant Raiser: To launch enemies up into the air, Lin has a rising slash that can send enemies flying as he flips upward with 3 turning slashes that can be held to extend out heatwaves. After launching, he can do anti-air short combo that ends with a sharp kick and allows him to do a follow-up Hype-fryer attack.
- Revenge: When recovering from being knocked down, Lin can hold down to recover and prepare to attack with a sawing flip.
- Inertial Shift: A cancel that affects Lin's Hype-fryer rev time and the synergy between his weapons through a follow-up. After a light attack, Lin does a quick overhead attack with Angel that chains into other attacks while Demon does a ground pound to launch enemies after a heavy attack. Uriel can add up stun with extra damage the longer the combo is a maintained, Feng Teng does a combo throw absorbing Climax and health, Shin Guandao extends range infusing crystals during attacks, and Luan Dou reflects any incoming hits with high knockback.
- Popping Back: Lin does a sweeping kick as he spins with Liberty to hit multiple enemies, which can be used mid-combo to boost stun or interrupt enemies. When held, Lin spins with a guard-breaking double slash leaving 5 projectile trails that can be fired at enemies with a charged shot.
- Primeval Shot: If Lin fires a charged shot during the middle of a combo via Hype-fryer, it causes the projectile to become a saw that does multi-damage on the enemy. If Lin were to attack on time with this projectile, he flips toward the enemy with a heavy slash causing it to explode.
- Air Taunt: Lin backflips, launching an enemy higher into the air. This allows Lin to perform a quick Hype-fryer in mid-air.
- Heating Drill and Thousand Tears: Thrusting stab that can be charged for high damage and reach where Lin swirls Liberty like a drill. This can be used to transition to Vacant Raiser or done 3 times in a row before being held for a finishing explosive piledriver (Thousand Tears) attack that creates a fire shockwave damaging enemies at mid-range. During a combo, Heating Drill can be used in a dashing maneuver up to 3 times to boost chip damage and bypass defenses to sweep in enemies with it's twisting blade.
- Rustful Shaker: Grabs a downed enemy to stomp on before firing endless shots onto them and kicking them away into other enemies.
- Hype-fryer: Holds down an attack during a combo to emerge the chainsaw rails on Lin’s sword, draining some energy in it’s delay that will charge back. Allows Lin to hold his attacks during basic combos.
- Hype-fryer Buffed Attacks:
- EX Combo: A buffed version of Lin's combo.
- EX Aerial Combo: TBA
- Burning Up: Holding Hype-fryer during Lin's combo(s) and releasing on any of his 4-6 hits releases a saw slash with varying critical damage that applies an elemental debuff on enemies. These can cancel into each other to leave trails of fire that add up damage with Lin's follow-up attacks.
- ?: Detonates Lin's elemental Hype-fryer debuff on enemies
- Bushwhack Ripper: Rushing attack where he does a series of consecutive crossing slashes with waves before a charged slam. Lin can hold one of these crossing slashes then release for a bursting cut that varies based on how long Lin held the attack, being usable at the end of another attack or during a combo.
- Serrated: Performs Heating Drill/Thousand Tears in mid-air with a corkscrew-like motion.
- Frenzied Reckoning: Aerial version of Bushwack Ripper with a chargeable buzzsaw slash that can be done to knock the enemy away as a finisher, stabbing downward with a rolling slash that causes multi-hits.
- Fervent Sawblader: Upon charging a dodge, Lin performs a revolving attack that hits enemies around Lin in a circular motion with flaming trails as a wide demonic projectile that's omni-directional, sweeping in enemies with extending saws. This can be used mid-combo as a defensive move sweeping them in while deflecting any close-ranged attacks by rapidly slashing, sending heatwave saws in an arc.
- Spectral: Lin continuously drags Liberty into the ground like a jackhammer, creating multiple explosions that expands into an energy field rooting nearby enemies in place. While they're immobilized, Lin can charge for a powerful follow-up combo with a massive energy burst when timed. Can be used during dashes to increase speed and reach.
- Overdrive Combo - Chained Takedown: A fast multi-hitting combo where Lin rapidly slashes at an enemy, ending with a powerful overhead thrust that creates an energy burst launching enemies. If an enemy is launched, Lin can follow them with a hook dash.
- Ascension Finisher - Nephillim's Purgatory: A timed finisher that has a series of AoEs and Hype-fryer moves that vary based on what weapons Lin is using. With angelic weapons, Lin boosts with a sweeping propeller slash that hits with trails of light then creates an electric pillar. With demonic weapons, Lin creates a series of wind explosions that throw out crystals. And with guns, Lin unloads charged shots that stack upon each other.
- Crest and Trough: TBA - Aerial attack
- Sun-chasing Dragon of Dusk: Lin’s default spell card has him leap into an enemy with a knee kick, flipping them upwards and leads to him doing a rapid Hype-fryer claw slash onto them that sends split heatwaves which can be sent further with each continuous input. This spell card requires to hit an enemy close enough or could work as a counter to restore health and Climax energy. Works during dashes and mid-air combos.
- Forged - Incisive Trigger: Lin charges his Ultimatrigger, creating a Hype-fryer explosion to boost elemental damage. The damage multiplies based on how high Lin's Flow Chain is, increasing stagger resistance and guard-breaking.

Ming and Qing: Lin’s primary guns in the form of a C96, performing admirably in average rapid fire. These guns are crafted with care, utilizing a metallic dust compound. This metallic dust compound enhances their power, while Lin’s aura allows them to be charged effectively for Rich Shot. With lock-on, Rich Shot will hit multiple enemies with heat-seeking energized bullets.
- Rich Shot: Sends a bouncing bullet that rapidly bounces across multiple enemies with medium damage. Can fire it up to 3 times on ground and mid-air.
- Two Time: When in mid-air, Lin can shoot downward to keep himself up
- Lin can unload all of his charge shot in mid-air to send himself across an area, leaving areas of damage behind him that are temporary
- Archangel and Daemon Befell: On the ground, Lin flips upward and shoots bouncing shots to enemies below with a circular shot that's chargeable. When descending from mid-air, Lin performs a defensive flip as he shoots more quickly before landing
- Dazed Gallery: Aims in multiple directions
- Ocelot Twins: Throws Ming and Qing into an enemy, catching them in explosive shots hitting around the area
- Long Mustang: Charging shots longer causes Lin to stock 3 Dragon Blasts that are fired rapidly, exploding on enemies and catching them in a stun.
- Seventh Sense: Lin breakdances while firing shots and teleporting rapidly, kicking around nearby enemies before he goes upward
- Cunning Diversion: Dodges has Lin flip with held shots

Tibetan's Bite: A Winchester 1887 shotgun with good range and is decent at shooting in 180. It fires ice-compressed shots that has more damage at close range, dealing great knockback.
- Can charge a Frostbite Warhead shot up to 3 times. This can be used after a melee attack.
- Icecracker and Glacialwork: In order to get a good edge on enemies surrounding him, Lin can spin Tibetan rapidly to set off a series of blasts This can also be done in mid-air but is shorter.
- Boomstick Rampager: TBA
- Full Lead: Stocks shots to fire off 3 reactive blasts that explode into multiple ice bursts
- A dodging shot
Detonator: A revolver-type gun that fires stocked explosive darts which can stick to enemies and obstacles, marking them. These darts can then be detonated or split into smaller explosions.
- Warhead: Sends out a wide array of darts to stick to enemies/surfaces. The maximum amount of darts can be upgraded from 4 to 6.
- Dragon Blast: Detonates darts. Can be charged up to 3 times.
- Outburst: Fires a propelling shot that moves in any direction. Works in mid-air.
- Firebranded Wipeout: Fires out multiple homing missiles to marked enemies
Uriel: A rodded spear of the Electrus element that comes from a former horseman, built with a laser function and an engine-propelling battery mechanism. Uriel gives Lin a bluish glow on his left veins, and allows him to perform swift, long-ranged attacks that are both extensive and aerial-based. Although his damage output is not very high, he can make up for it by chaining combos and stunning his foes with electric shocks. Performing fast combos charges up his spear to unleash more powerful surges of energy during multi-hitting follow-up Impact moves that create shockwaves upon timing and can target multiple enemies at once. These shockwaves create electromagnetic fields on the floor as damage zones, adding up stun on enemies that are caught in them. Uriel is also useful for solving puzzles, as it can manipulate electric currents and devices. However, Uriel’s upgrades are costly and its spell cards are difficult to find.
Uriel can use a hook to pull grounded/aerial enemies or objects to Lin or to push him towards the enemy and build up momentum. Lin’s hook can also be used as a sling to get across areas and serve as an extra dash for ground and mid-air boosting his speed. However, his hook must hit a destination for it to work. Lin can cancel his pulls with a jump to get over an enemy
- Torrential Combos: Lin slashes 4 times in a row with Uriel, both on the ground and in the air. If he pauses after the second slash, he can sweep in an enemy then execute a chargeable launch finisher.
- Razor Gust Combos: Lin performs 3 slashes in mid-air that are long-ranged. Pausing after the 2nd hit causes him to electrify with gales suspending the enemy above as he spins higher.
- Embracer and Impaler: Thrusting stab that can make Lin go forward quickly as his dash slash, striking the enemy with Uriel’s edge like a mallet. This can be charged for Lin to roll into an enemy with continuous stabs (Impaler) and releasing an electric burst. The electric burst will enhance Lin upon a hook follow-up for either an enemy-stunning AoE (forward), a retreating shockwave that pulls enemies (backwards) or a lightning-infused thrust that creates a shockwave and boosts Lin's attack speed.
- Air Counterpart to Embracer.
- ?: Upper slash launches enemies into the air with double swings, and can be held in the middle of a combo to increase the height and damage. Continuous inputs during the launch makes Lin do constant swipes as he rises up.
- Charges a giant electric orb to shoot at enemies, causing chain damage. This can be used at the end of a move to fire a wide projectile. Works in mid-air.
- Lightning Strike: Creates a stunning shockwave through drilling Uriel into the ground, dealing more damage with a secondary shockwave when timed right. This can be used on objects in missions. When used in mid-air, it creates a lingering shockwave zone.
- Boost: An air dash and double jump for Lin that causes damage to enemies by contact.
- Leyline Surfer: Lin rides on Uriel in any direction, juggling any nearby enemies.
- Circuit: Lin spins on Uriel rapidly. This attack is extendable through continuous inputs, but holding it causes Lin to pierce forward in a grab-styled finisher.
- Giga Flare: Grabs a close-ranged enemy, constricting them with his hook before igniting them in a burst of electricity that sends out waves. This attack has a follow-up throwing the enemy or critically finishing them, increasing Lin's range and extra damage.
- Hallowed: Lin teleports to hit enemies marked by his thrown hook. Works in mid-air.
- Twist: Lin cancels out of his hook move for Lin to quickly reposition with a dodge / back-dash that increases Lin's damage when held, swinging around enemies with a whirlwind that can be used to alter attack direction before performing a leaping smash. This can be used to parry enemies.
- Boost Thruster: Lin performs a short-ranged dash that can be chained into attacks to adjust hit direction 3 times, sweeping enemies. This can be used to back-dash, dash upward, or dash downward from above.
- Charging Boost Thruster engages in a sprint.
- Ground Hook: Sweeps an enemy to Lin from below while in mid-air.
- Hook: Pulls an enemy towards Lin and allows him to cancel out attacks. The follow-up either leads into a backflip kick (Angel Flurry) that releases an evasive shockwave or Lin slinging forward with a rapid thrust (Devil Grasp)
- Attract and Chain Reaction: Using the Electrus surge can attract Lin to the enemy quicker, attacking them or makes Lin perform a homing dash. The timed follow-up makes him either do a launch (Angel Flurry) or an AoE attack sweeping nearby enemies (Devil Grasp) This works in mid-air. Though pulling Lin towards an enemy may be risky when fighting minibosses or bosses.
- Forklift: Held attack mid-combo where Lin creates a surge to impale an enemy with an 180 shockwave, leaving trails of lightning as he continuously hits. Releasing the attack at the right time causes him to strike with two spears, making Lin's attacks temporarily attract enemies.
- Ultimate Combo: Lin continuously spins Uriel, sweeping enemies in and out before performing a finisher with a large torrent storming around the area.
Feng Teng: Two shuriken blades that control the twin polarities of the light and darkness elements. Said to have come from the torn wings of a punished Astrable. This weapon uses attacks to manage crowds and can lock down multiple enemies at once. The light half breaks guards with stun damage to boost points but is slower, while the dark half drains health and cancels attacks with it's faster moves. When Lin switches stances, he uses altered moves from either the light or dark half. He can also summon clones of himself during each hit.
Finishers uses a large dragon projectile to summon a clone that uses the same attack but with the other half of Feng Teng. Such as the clone using a light attack based on a dark attack Lin used prior to the finisher.
- Polarity and Beguilement Combos: Feng Teng has a 5-slash combo. Pausing in the middle causes a continuous cross slash with increasing damage, altering based on which half is used.
- Phosphor Combos: Mid-air combo has 3-slashes, with the last making Lin do a held AoE that creates an energy orb that spins against the enemy with shadow lances, dealing extra damage. Pausing after 2 slashes causes Lin to do revolving curved slashes of darkness that reaches higher and sweeps in enemies, while light sends out projectiles.
- When attacks are held on ground and mid-air, Lin makes trails of light follow him and stuns enemies. Holding dark attacks makes attacks do multi-hitting clones.
- Yin-Yang: Lin rapidly kicks while spinning Feng Teng to stagger enemies (Light) or rapidly stabs forward (Dark), then forms a dragon projectile that creates an AoE.
- Lin spins himself in an energized stream of light and darkness that sweeps in enemies for multi-hitting damage that bypasses guards. Works in mid-air.
- Dragon Spinner: Weapon throw where Lin throws his blades in a spinning motion, shredding enemies with medium-high damage and restricting their movement. Charging allows Lin to aim and control the direction. Uses a multi-hitting effect with Light and a debuffing effect with Dark. Upon throwing, a follow-up makes the blades return with a burst of light and dark trails. Works in mid-air.
- When both Light and Dark are used in conjunction during Dragon Spinner, the shuriken splits into a barrage of homing projectiles.
- Can pull in enemies with Dragon Spinner and keep them in place through heavy attacks.
- Quick and Slow Switch: A switching attack between the stances. Light causes a blinding flash followed by a debilitating shadow slash, dealing high stun. Dark causes a health-draining grab followed by light projectiles, multiplying Lin's points and stats. Holding both stances in conjunction during the switch does an AoE combining light and dark for a dragon projectile.
- Sky High: Upward attack that’s stylized like a flash kick to launch enemies. Follow-up is either a slamming kick to juggle enemies back down (Light) or a twisting attack that sends out projectiles (Dark)
- In mid-air, Lin can dive downward with Feng Teng to hit an enemy below with a wave of light and darkness
- Places a shuriken on the ground that makes trails of dark continuously attack before Lin charges a dragon projectile at the end.
- Lin dodges by using his clone as a decoy to fire out a beam of light, or send out a shockwave of darkness that sweeps in enemies.
- Beeline: Lin throws his shuriken before dashing. This works in any direction and can be chained up to 3 times. When upgraded, this attack has a longer range.
Shin Guandao: A crescent weapon forged from the teeth of a fire-breathing dragon, once wielded by a demon lord who fought in the Netherworld. When Lin swings the Shin Guandao, his right arm becomes covered with a strange flesh that enhances his strength while growing over his veins. The Shin Guandao is not a fast weapon, but it can deal massive damage to enemies with its sharp blade and fiery aura that covers great range. The blade is retracted for slow, powerful strikes that create shockwaves for massive damage, but can extend for thrown projectile-like hits that stack debuffs and knocks away enemies with projectile-infused attacks.
- Blade Combos: Lin performs a 3-slash attack combo. Pausing in the middle of the combo causes the final slash to alternate with 2 more hits creating shockwaves, making an enemy simply land on the ground unlike the normal 3-slash that knocks them away. Holding the last hit leaves a lingering effect of continuous damage.
- Aerial Combos: Lin performs 3-slash aerial combo that's less fast than on ground. Pausing after 2 hits extends to 2 more slashes with the final slash causing a burning swipe of air to graze the enemy.
- Launches enemies after dashing into them. Can be charged to extend with a bundle of spikes.
- Hellbreaker: Rolls down from mid-air, axing into the ground with explosive pillars of devastating damage. Holding does a follow-up that sends a larger explosion at enemies.
- Dives down from mid-air, extending Shin Guandao with a series of delayed explosions behind Lin.
- Ignites Guandao's scythe for a series of burning crystal waves that Lin slashes at enemies. The end can be charged for an explosive hit.
- Retriever: Has a spinning turn where Lin side-steps to left or right, blasting enemies with a wave of volcanic spikes. Holding it afterwards detonates the crystals for area denial.
- Vehemence: Lin extends a rotating scythe off of Shin Guandao to either knock enemies away with an explosion or sweep them in with crystal trails. Works in mid-air.
- Mortal Turbulence: Lin jumps across the area, swinging Shin Guandao as he leaves crystal explosions in his trail. The crystal explosions can be detonated individually or be used as traps. This reaches up to mid-air.
- Skit: Lin axes the ground numerous times, causing crystalline pillars to erupt from the ground and send enemies away. The last hit is chargeable to send a wide swing with an extended scythe.
- Charges to create multiple crescent projectiles to trap enemies with extended scythe. Works in mid-air.
- Death Swipe and Soul Cleaner: Sends a projectile in the shape of a metallic crescent to push enemies away with medium-heavy knockback and lingering flame trails. In mid-air, the crescent projectile has a wider reach.
Luan Dou: A set of brass-knuckled gauntlets made from the claws of an accursed wind beast known for it’s brutal ways. Serving as the parallel to Feng Teng with it’s offensive and defensive purposes. Being most affective in close-quarters and doesn’t have any way of being long-ranged unlike other weapons in Lin’s arsenal. Luan Dou is useful when wanting to transition to usage of finishers. Lin specializes in karate moves when using Luan Dou, emphasizing on powerful strikes.
Parries will enhance Lin's charges and enhance his next attack. Charging during a parry stocks an extra charge. Multiple charges can be built up to create stylized wind-infused extensions and finishers, forming wolverine-like arms.
- Marticle Combos: Basic attack that involves 4 punches in a row, with each hit being able to be held to make Lin punch faster and harder. Pausing in the middle performs kicks with quicker damage, and can be held to extend it's range via wind gusts as Lin elbows into the enemy then tosses them over to stomp them.
- Tao Bo Combos: Performs 3 kicks in mid-air. Pausing does a chargeable projectile-infused kick attack.
- Collective Retribution: Weaving stance where Lin uses low projectile-infused kicks to dodge or can parry an attack by crossing his arms to form a demonic shield. Dodges makes Lin perform a sweeping kick that can be charged for a projectile-infused grab, while parries makes Lin catch an enemy in a grab of teleporting punches as they're launched. Can be used in mid-air.
- Straight Jaw: Quick kick where Lin moves closer to the enemy and kicks them in the jaw, causing brief stun. Charging it does a reverse punch with his other fist, causing high knockback.
- Softlock Khazri: A shoulder-bashing grab that interrupts enemy movement/attacks. Charging it makes Lin elbow into the enemy before blasting them away with a storm orb that scales in size and hit count based on how long Lin charged.
- Rend Destructor: Enemy-launching uppercut that increases damage based on charge levels. Charging it causes Lin to do a heavy back kick and does wind-sharpened multi-uppercuts that sweep enemies with a grab at the end.
- Missile Punter: Rushes in at an enemy from above with a bicycle kick with rapid inputs. Each input creates a slicing gust and finishes with an explosive heel drop.
- Star Count: Stationary rapid punch that builds up points slowly. Works in mid-air.
- Flash Breaker: Fires semi-large storm orb projectiles that have an arcing range, homing onto nearby enemies. Charging them places an orb that can be detonated to swirl in enemies on ground or mid-air.
- Down Ya Go: Mid-air haymaker punch that makes Lin send an enemy downward.
- Fling Snap: When descending, Lin has a revolving heeldrop where he spins himself forward before unleashing a devastating slam with his leg.
- Lin pounces on an enemy from above for a grab attack.
- Groundbreaking Karaburan: Charged hit where Lin chops his hand into the ground causing a shockwave to erupt in the form of a swirling glyph with slicing gusts.
- One-Inch Dragon and Unearthed Kamaitachi: Timed charge punch that sends enemies way in a stunning torrent with great knockback, increasing it's effects with how long it's timed to form a giant fist. When used on an enemy that's countered by Lin, Lin grabs them before diving multiple times with his wind-infused kicks before charging a haymaker punch that causes a large hurricane.
Ultimatrigger Omicron: A dragonic transformation charged through Lin assimilating energy off enemies as heat. Giving Lin a damage buff and shortens the delay of his attacks, allowing him to extend combos easier. It also doesn’t require any usage of surges, ignition or charge attacks. He can use either 2 separate gauges for a full Angelic/Demonic Ultimatrigger, or use a neutral Ultimatrigger that blends both of it. Lin is capable of bending the weather via atmospheric leylines, summoning cold rainstorms, manifesting lightning strikes, charging with hurricanes, dispersing scalding clouds, creating walls of shadow fog, etc.
Lin's attacks automatically leave tide-like trails. He's able to do multiple dashes, do held sprints, hover, and do defensive charges.
- Ultimatriggered Liberty has some of it’s attacks augmented through an element from one of Lin’s Ex Arms. All of Lin's attacks builds up heat with each combo. A spiritual dragon appears behind Lin on each attack, causing a rusting effect with projectile slashes.
- Angelic Ultimatrigger causes Lin's attacks to have semi-teleportational slashes and afterimage-based combos that hit from multiple directions. Lin's attacks have an electric/light effect.
- Demonic Ultimatrigger causes Lin's attacks to create rippling shockwaves, dealing splash damage and will leave burning aftershocks on enemies upon hitting them with a heavy / charged attack that ignites on every attack to guard-break enemies. Lin's attacks have a seismic/wind effect.
– Trivia –
Lin’s appearance in his 2018 design was drastically different compared to his current one. Sporting black sclera and a bowler hat.

Lin was once meant to have a prosthetic arm of Plutonium after his village was attacked.
In a scrapped plot, Lin was going to be pursuing the god Hades who was wrongfully thought to be a culprit to him. This was scrapped due to how it would’ve come off as cliche despite a twist being set up.
Before Lin had his Ultimatrigger designed, he was planned to have extra forms known as Out of Hell and Solar Lin. Out of Hell would’ve been acquired through claiming the “Hell Head” of a Cerberus in the same vein as Alean’s Stardust form. While Solar Lin was meant to be a counter to the Lunar form of an antagonist known as “The Nightmare”
In addition to his forms, he was eventually going to fuse with the old incarnation of Elpis against an antagonist known as “Extinction” Though details about this fusion are unknown besides it being named Omega.
Feng Teng was originally going to be able to combine to form a greatsword
