Black Obyrith are a race of bizarre carnivorous alien supersoldiers of the Primaldian Age with inhuman bodies of void essence which evolve through consuming other organisms often to the point of producing weapons from their own energized blood and flesh. They are a central eldritch race of demonic entities reigning from the Abyssal Empire faction, whom coexist in the abyss-like phantom zone known as Tehom the Great Deep (or the Sea of Suf) where the walls of reality, gravity and space-time distort greatly. A dimensional realm that is the void inaccessible to normal life-forms and formed in a time where creation was less solid. The Black Obyrith utilize forbidden forms of black magic as sorcery, using up their blood stockpiled in their bodies for bodily-weaponry after consuming enough spirits. Though their homunculi bodies are born from the collapsed bodies of asterisps, their jet-like ionizing chest cores help pass atoms that can be used to accelerate or throttle the birth of newer and improved asterisps through docile caterpillar-like wyrms from life-recycling. Due to this, groups of Black Obyrith were used as the backbone of the Astrables‘ military to keep balance. They would grow to have an evergoing predatory rivalry for demonic superiority against the Neutron-mare Faction.
– Life –
During the death and collapse of asterisps, they wither into locust moth-like infectious beings of darkmatter (Lyciagrotis Morphosi) and are digested into within the black tar-like bloody streams emitting from the birth conduit of the Black Obyrith, the Void Embryo. A hivemind egg organism serving as the eye of the emperor of the Abyssal Empire, Equinox, the god-predating manifestation of Void with a conscious amalgamated of wyrms with inner layers of blob-like masses made from galvanized and wired root-tentacles. The Void Embryo, otherwise Equinox had undergone multiple mutations from overloads of life-consumption and having clustered organs of an ancient entity named Tiamat Sedna, going under a process of explosive reproduction with his life-force and cells. Some cases with them combining to form pale, slimy brooding kaiju-like dragonic segmented titans beings of darkmatter infestation named Wyrms that are ejected from the Void Embryo in cocoons and adapt to their surroundings by assimilating what they consume.
Wyrms over-time experience transformation inducing stress, releasing hatched spores(Which were in a way, living inside of the wyrms with sentience) erupted out of their body that cluster together to form the fleshy saurian fetus pre-state of Black Obyrith named Homunculi. Homunculi are born with a performance-enhancing/recreational parasitic infestation of compact lyciagrotis using biological enhancement as a drug maintaining bodily functions. And their bodies are genetically altered to weaponize this infestation by will using energized blood in the form of protoplasms from their predatory organ restructuring their liquidy body. When evolving, the Homunculi will begin to consciously mutate through the spores in their body being affected from the infestation with development of a snake skin-like layering through multiple hearts depending on their rate of consumption. These multiple hearts are used in a hierarchical power system to rank the ones that are most skilled and the lowest fiends that can absorb the most light through their maw. However, Homunculi bare no memories nor a mind of their own to think, rather using their primal instincts that the asterisp’s fading conscious attempts to fight back against. Homunculi naturally look skinned with veiny pulsing bodies of energy due to a cellular hemorrhage when being born and have mostly muscle overwriting their tissue by repurposing. When the Obyrith is in their prime state with a high conscious, their memories crystallize out of their Homunculi state and draw towards them with subliminal messages. Prime states allow for completely pale eyes but for cases like Ritsueto using his Chaotic Trigger, his left sclera turns black with a reddish violet strain to it’s pupil. Prime state enables Obyrith to wyrm-leech a humanoid’s consciousness and implant themselves into the body from within, feasting on the organs and taking the conscious themself.
In birth, Homunculi are implanted with artificial wyrms by psionic tar octopus-like brain arachnids named Mindflayers, which were born from parasitic tadpoles found in a cave known as the Underdark. Lying in the hypervoid realm containing darkmatter substances in pools of bloodied lifestream to hatch eggs. Mindflayers attach to their faces for mutatic transformation and allowing revival of the inner lyciagrotis forming a cursed shell as a holo-glyphed crystal known as a Rune, which also serves as the heart to an Obyrith and the capsule of the artificial wyrm. The Rune releases stocked cells and absorbed nutrition to form the bodily weaponry of Obyrith and allow them to pierce through skin or armor through blood assimilation. The weapon type entirely will depend on the variation and shape of the user’s body such as winged Obyrith getting crystalline feathers fired as projectiles, reptilian tails coated in spikes, hydra-like tendrils, etc. Alien symbiotes form in Runes from the transported wyrm of the Mindflayer to capsule the Homunculi, enabling genomic resonance with their blood when activating abilities as the wyrm begins to form into an infestant tick of darkmatter helping fuel the dark energy utilized by the Obyrith.
Wyrms pass on their desires to breed onto their respective Homunculi, causing them to prey on and kill Tannin or dragonic beings like Bahamut and lay eggs in their radioactive carcasses that would hatch a brood of two Obyrith that would be seen to be eventually mature. And the Obyrith brood’s parents would want it to reshape ecosystems to their needs until they would turn on each other in a predatory battle for the strongest to survive. Half-breed Obyrith are said to more powerful than pure-breeds due to cellular mixture during their germination pre-birth allowing for more genetical traits in the mutation of the collapsed asterisp.
– Consumption –
With their high concentration of cells by their enhancements, Obyrith have developed a drive for carnivorous consumption in order for their evolution, having an altered sense of taste that makes them find natural meat such as beef or chicken as something undesirable. The way they consume organisms is by a blackhole-like null dimension in their mouth reaching down to their throat named Ender Zones, enlarging their maw through splitting open so far that it could go across their whole body. Ender Zones distort gravity, reality, space and time as miniature voids and decay whatever it touches through gravital pressure. Allowing Obyrith to consume several times their weight. After consuming an organism, Obyrith can mimic and replicate them to bait others as prey for assimilation, utilizing their Mindflayer for parasitic reproduction. Though, in cases of Obyrith that cannibalize develop their weapons abnormally and mutate their hearts along with their artificial wyrm to take a higher form. Obyrith do not require to transform their bodies to consume and assimilate their prey. Unlike beings such as Bahamut that live at the bottom of the life-stream ocean to feed off natural vein radiation from planade cores of planets, Black Obyrith feed on man-made radiation that they are drawn to such as nuclear warheads and energy plants of chemical weaponry.
– Implanting –
Surgical processes involving Black Obyrith limbs or organs are done under alchemical processes using fragments of the body to super-craft them, however the cells and blood type from the body-part will pass into the subject somewhat overhauling their own life system. This would result in a parasitic strain leading to multiple episodic hallucinations, twitching and seizure that would kill ordinary human life-forms or ones that haven’t lived up to their their life-stream and perfected their mana. The limbs in their deep nature, are often skeletal and have an arsenal of sorcery depending on what limb it is. Implanting Black Obyrith into each other leads into them being infused with each other, creating a new body type categorizing them. When reproducing over lesser life-forms, the Obyrith impart their own characteristics to rewrite the life-form as part of their idea of genetic purity with their wyrms.
– Weaknesses –
Black Obyrith have three primary weaknesses; those being the spatial fabric of reality known as Serge in the process of spaghettification. The second being their incredible bloodthirst which could lead into the Obyrith being put into a Snowball Effect frenzy-like state degrading their conscious and de-evolving their body, becoming an “Aborted” entity akin to Blazars, being overtaken by their inner wyrms as zombie-like fiends losing their autonomy. Examples such as the Blazars had aborted their spiritual senses and had their bodies mutate to develop bodily weapons with repeated soul-consumption. When unfed, the Aborted Obyrith goes into a starvation mode stimulating the central nervous system and will take over the body if it goes any longer, giving off recycled spore particles that form an antimatter-like miasma that accelerates blood thurst of other Obyrith. However, it can also impregnate other life-forms with a bloodied miniature Homunculi embryo being inserted into a host, passing genetic material that induces vomitting effects as the embryo rewrites the host’s genetic code replacing their consciousness with one controlled by a local psychic connection possessed by the abyssal forces. This miasma is countered with masks not only used in weaponization, but also filtering and neutralizing the anti-particles with blood to drain life-force by absorbing and purifying it to improve defensive qualities. These masks are mechanical counterparts of Mindflayers, using artificial substitutes of blood made as heart plants made by Isobel in her pre-states with similar tech to an ancient seed to assist Obyrith in achieving a prime state. The artificial wyrm infused with the Obyrith’s Rune feeds off of them for survival after attachment with the husk of the asterisp that had lost it’s vital functions, transplanting the wyrm’s blood in the host to regulate and control organs, allowing for regeneration. Their third weakness is high frequencies or sonic vibrations of electromagnetic noise-waves as it will drive them insane and often burn it up if the noise-wave is put to more offensive measures, along with desynchronizing their Mindflayers if they are attempting to hijack a host symbiotically.
A minor weakness is that in most cases, Homunculi are required for Black Obyrith to live, otherwise they would have no body structure or infestation to live off of. But if somehow a Homunculi is ejected by force out of the Obyrith’s body(Such as another entity in its body forcing the Homunculi out), a paradox is induced with the Homunculi’s existence. In regards for replication, Black Obyrith cannot replicate metals.
